When the Taycan launched in 2020, it made history as Porsche’s first all-electric vehicle. This is an athletic, four-door sedan boldly engineered to create the powerful riding experience that Milwaukee-area drivers expect from Porsche. As you compare the 2022 Taycan to its 2023 counterpart, you will discover that Porsche has made a few improvements to elevate its already impressive capabilities.
Performance
Between 2022 and 2023, the Taycan’s powertrains are unchanged. All have a two-motor system, and the base engine produces between 321 to 375 horsepower based on the battery pack selected. The mid-level powertrain system generates between 429 and 482 horsepower. Several higher systems are also available, including the top-of-the-line system that produces 616 horsepower. This system comes with rear-wheel steering and larger brake rotors. For 2023, the Porsche Taycan has an expanded range of optimized functionality. In addition, the charging time at a DC fast-charging station has been reduced.
Appearance
The 2023 Porsche Taycan’s aggressive, prowling style is unchanged from the previous model year. The model is strikingly defined by a dramatically angled hood with a round nose and slanted, slit-like air intakes. These air vents sit below the sharp headlights, which feature quad LED accent lights. The Taycan also boasts a fastback-like roof, powerful side contouring, and smoothly rounded haunches. Some trims may be equipped with a panoramic glass roof, adaptive headlights, and other equipment.
Features
Inside, the 2023 Taycan displays an updated interface for the touch display screen. While some of the features have been juggled between trim levels for 2023, the same features continue to be available overall. These include a wireless charging pad, a navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated seats with leather upholstery, forward collision mitigation, a Bose sound system with 14 speakers, memory settings for the driver’s seat, remote park assist, massaging front seats, night vision and many others.
