Performance
Under the hood, you will notice stunning differences across the full trim lineup. The base Macan for 2022 and 2021 have the same four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine. For 2022, however, this engine’s output increases by 13 horsepower to 261 horsepower. For the rest of the trim levels, the powertrains have shifted. The Macan S’s powertrain is eliminated. For 2022, the Macan S has the GTS’s powertrain. The GTS takes the Turbo trim level’s engine. Notably, the Turbo trim level is no longer available for the 2022 model year.
Appearance
If you have admired the 2021 Porsche Macan’s façade, you will be thrilled to learn that Porsche made no style changes for the new model year. The Macan has a strong family resemblance to other Porsche models. Its dominant features are a rounded nose, teardrop-shaped headlights, smooth surfaces, and a dramatic curve over the hood. The hood tapers into a black, three-part grille. Wheel and color options vary by trim.
Features
The 2022 Porsche Macan’s dashboard has been restyled in the spacious cabin. The waterfall-style functions on the angled center console rise to meet the center stack. The stack is wide and holds a landscape-style display screen. This screen sits above the climate management system’s controls and below an analog clock. Some of the many features in both model years are a heated steering wheel, a keyless ignition, wireless device charging, adaptive cruise control, leather material, a navigation system, and Apple CarPlay.
