In 2020, the Porsche Macan S offers the option of upgrading to tungsten carbide-coated brakes. The Macan Turbo trim gets a new engine option this year with even more powerful credentials than before. The Macan S has an overall sporty design that is distinguished from the base trim, which sits a notch below this model, with its additional power capacity and unique exterior trim. The Macan S also has dual twin-pipe exhaust pipes. The Macan Turbo is the top trim available in the Macan series. Performance
Performance varies slightly for both versions of the 2020 Porsche Macan. The Macan S is powered by a different engine than the base model. The S gets a turbo engine as well, but its engine has six cylinders rather than four, and its power output increases by 100 to a total of 348 horsepower. The S trim’s engine produces 354 in lb-ft of torque as well. More powerful brakes support the Macan’s boost in power. The Turbo trim has a different engine from the S. Under the hood of the Turbo is a 2.9-liter engine with six cylinders. This trim’s engine has a higher power capacity of 434 horsepower and 406 lb-ft in maximum torque.
Appearance
A sporty and luxurious appearance is a highlight of both Macan trims. Both have sleek coupe-like body styles with some trim-specific differences. The Macan S has unique exterior trim elements and a dual twin-pipe exhaust system. The Turbo can be equipped with adaptive headlights, auto-dimming mirrors, and a panoramic sunroof. LED lights, 18-inch wheels, and automatic wipers are standard appearance features on both Macan trims.
Features
At a minimum, the 2020 Macan S comes with a 10.9-inch touchscreen interface, navigation connected to the internet, and a WiFi hotspot. A 10-speaker sound system is standard, and you will also get four USB charging ports. The Turbo adds a 14-speaker Bose sound system and the aforementioned suede headliner.
